KMC Partners with GK for Corporate Social Responsibility

KMC MAG Group Inc. is set to hold its first Corporate Social Responsibility activity with Gawad Kalinga (GK) on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Employees will be working with the renowned organization to help in building homes and to spend time with the less fortunate GK children.

The event will be held at Brgy. Pinagsama, Taguig City, one of GK's nationwide housing projects. The CSR activity will start at 9am with a brief opening ceremony. KMC MAG Group's Managing Director Michael McCullough and GK's Area Volunteer Coordinator for NCR-South Tony Cardenas will be there to welcome the participants to the day's activities. House painting and masonry work will follow until noon time. Lunch for KMC employees and GK homeowners will be held at the multi-purpose hall of the community.

From manual labor, activities would shift to fun and games in the afternoon. A short party with parlor games will be held for the SAGIP kids. Sagip, meaning "to save", is Gawad Kalinga's community-based program for children ages 7 to 13 years old.  It seeks to nurture the newfound hope of GK youth through weekly values formation activities that promote love for God, country, family, and fellowmen.

PBA player Shawn Weinstein, actresses Rhian Ramos and Maricar de Mesa and other lifestyle and fashion personalities are expected to be at the event to join KMC in helping the GK community.
